Your Visit
Can I visit the distillery?
Yes! Our distillery is open Monday to Friday from 10.00 am - 5.00 pm all year long. There are different experiences on offer to suit different tastes and we are always ready to welcome you at the Crossbill Shop, where you can buy releases from our gin range.
Is the distillery open at the weekend?
The distillery is closed for walk-ins at the weekends. We run our Gin School classes on Saturdays and close for the day on Sundays.
How do I book one of your Gin School Experiences?
You can book our Gin School Experience here, or if you would like to speak to someone, you can call our team at the distillery: Tel. +44 (0)141 237 4664. We currently offer a 3-hour Distilling class, a 2-hour Blending class, as well as shorter Tasting sessions.
Are children allowed at the distillery?
Unfortunately, children cannot attend any of the Gin Experiences but are welcome to come to the shop when accompanied by an adult.
Are you dog-friendly?
Working Assistance Dogs are always welcome to Crossbill. We do not allow other pets into the distillery or Gin School.

How do I find the distillery?
We are located in the heart of the Barras Market in the East End of Glasgow. You can get to the Crossbill Distillery easily by car, bike, sightseeing bus or public transport, and we are just about a fifteen-minute walk from the city centre. Find how to find us here.
Getting to the distillery:
Travel By Bike
There is limited space to park your bike in the distillery, but you are welcome to use the bike stands next to BAaD. The nearest Nextbike bike hire station (no.8440) is on Bain Street.
Travel By Bus
First Bus run services to Charlotte Street (bus stop located on London Road), just around the corner from the Barras: 18, 64, 263, N18. You can also use the City Sightseeing Glasgow Tour bus (bus stop no.4).
Travel by Rail
Our closest train stations are Argyle Street Station (0.6 miles distance), Belgrove (0.6 miles distance) and Bridgeton (0.7 miles distance).
Travel by Taxi
Taxis can pick up/drop off directly outside the distillery on Moncur Street. The nearest taxi rank is around the corner outside the Barrowland Ballroom.
Do you have a visitor car park?
We do not have our own car park as the distillery is located right in the middle of the Barras market. There are single yellow lines and pay and display parking bays located outside the distillery. Visitors can use these for paid parking during the weekdays between 8.00 am - 6.00 pm. The Barras is closed to traffic on the weekends.
Is Crossbill distillery wheelchair accessible?
There are three high steps at the main entrance to the distillery. However, a fully accessible access can be arranged through BAaD. There is a ramp on Calton Entry, making the whole restaurant space wheelchair accessible.
Is an accessible toilet available?
There is an accessible toilet located in the BAaD restaurant space.
Gin School
How can I make my own gin?
You can make your own gin by attending one of our Gin School classes. We offer two different experiences – Distilling and Blending. You can book them here.
How many people is the Gin School Distilling Voucher for?
The voucher for our Gin School Distilling experience admits two people. The two of you will share a mini still and leave the class with one 50cl bottle of gin that you created together. The class takes about three hours and offers the most complex experience in our distillery.
How many people is the Gin School Blending Voucher for?
The voucher for our Gin School Blending experience admits one person. Each person creates their own recipe gin and leaves the class with one 50cl bottle of gin. The class takes about two hours and focuses on creating the perfect-tasting gin.
Can I book for a group of 10 or more?
You can book for this number of guests by emailing us the enquiry details or giving us a call at +44 (0)141 237 4664. Group discount available.
Maximum class capacity is 10 people, any bookings with more than this number will require more than one class as we are limited by the number of stills and other equipment available on the site.
For larger groups, we can offer a Blending class or a Tasting session using a space adjusting to our distillery. Please contact us for more info.
Group bookings are always subject to availability.
Can I re-order the gin I made at your distillery?
Yes, you can do it here. All you need is your bottle number, which can be found in your recipe book.
